​What is Pilates?
 

Pilates is an exercise method that is both mind and body training, with an emphasis on improving core strength & stability.

Created by Joseph Pilates in the 1920's, Pilates was born from his knowledge of anatomy and own training in bodybuilding, wrestling, yoga, gymnastics, and martial arts.  Resulting in an exercise system that gives the body a perfect balance of strength and flexibility.

Pilates teaches you to be more aware of your body and your movements. Exercises are performed thoughtfully and with precision. 

With regular practise and progression you will become stronger, more flexible, have a greater sense of balance and become more toned.

Whether you’re a first time exerciser or a regular exerciser, Pilates is beneficial for all.
